Manlio Bianco 2021 (White Label)
This natural orange wine from Sicily reflects both tradition and creative winemaking. Made from organic Grillo grapes, it blends 60% de-stemmed fruit with a 5-day skin maceration and 40% whole-bunch carbonic maceration. After fermentation, the wine rests in a trio of vessels—1/3 barrique, 1/3 amphora, and 1/3 stainless steel—for 8 months, before bottling without filtration, fining, or added sulfur.
The result is a wine of remarkable depth and complexity. Aromas of orange peel, candied lemon, and ripe peach are complemented by herbal nuances and a subtle earthiness. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, with bright citrus acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a saline, mineral-driven finish.
