Domaine des Miquettes

Domaine des Miquettes, founded in 2003 by Chrystelle Vareille and Paul Estève, is a passion project nestled in the village of Cheminas, perched above Saint Joseph in the northern Rhône Valley. Beginning with a modest 2,300 square meters of Saint Joseph vines, the domaine soon expanded in 2004 when they acquired the vines and leases of Paul’s former employer. Today, they cultivate three hectares of Saint Joseph, alongside 1.3 hectares of Syrah and Viognier.

Inspired by a transformative visit to Georgia, Chrystelle and Paul adopted the traditional use of amphorae for winemaking, creating a unique character in their wines. Their collection now includes 26 amphorae, all buried in the earth, which impart a natural harmony and depth to each vintage. The domaine's wines are crafted with the utmost respect for nature—no added sulfites, no filtration, and no fining.
