Maison Moritz Prado
Ghislain Moritz grew up in Alsace and embarked on a transformative journey to New Zealand and Australia at 18, where he decided to dedicate his career to nature and agriculture. He later spent four years in Burgundy, honing his winemaking skills at Domaines Devillard, while studying at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune and the Faculty of Oenology in Dijon. His path then led him to Portugal's Douro Valley for a vintage with Conceito, before taking on the role of cellar master at Domaine Avincis in Romania, managing 50 hectares over eight formative years.
Angela Prado, originally from Colombia and the United States, moved to France in 2008 to pursue a master’s in International Finance. After meeting Ghislain, she followed him to Romania, collaborating on winemaking and sales development across Europe and Asia at Domaine Avincis. Driven by a desire to deepen her knowledge, Angela returned to Burgundy for a Master’s in Wine and Spirits.
Following the birth of their first child, and with a second on the way, Ghislain and Angela returned to Alsace to establish Maison Moritz Prado in Albé, Val de Villé. As a fully independent venture, their project stands out in Alsace, allowing them to showcase the expertise and inspiration gained from their international experiences.
