For over two decades, Jan Borms has been a leading voice for natural wine in Belgium. His journey began with the opening of a small bottle shop, where he cultivated a deep understanding of natural wines and shared his discoveries with an ever-growing community of enthusiasts. Over the years, his passion for sourcing authentic, expressive wines led him to expand into importing, connecting directly with winemakers who share his dedication to craftsmanship.

In time, Jan relocated to Ghent, establishing Altrovino as a trusted distributor of natural wines. Known for his discerning palate and unwavering commitment to quality, Jan has built enduring relationships with winegrowers and customers alike. Today, Altrovino is a key partner for restaurants, wine bars, and private connoisseurs who seek wines that tell a story—wines with heart, soul, and a true sense of place.

In November 2023, Arthur joined Altrovino, bringing fresh energy to the team. His first encounter with natural wine at 18 sparked a lifelong passion, which he deepened through studies and hands-on experience, including a Sommelier Conseil course in France. A chance discovery of a bottle imported by Altrovino led him to reach out to Jan, and soon after, he became part of the journey.

Together, Jan and Arthur are united by their shared love of natural wine, working to elevate its presence in Belgium and beyond while championing the exceptional winemakers behind each bottle.
