Sumoll from 80-year-old vines, planted in alluvial soils with slate, granite, and quartz, this wine offers a true expression of its terroir. Produced in an extremely limited quantity of just 1,600 bottles, it undergoes a long spontaneous fermentation at low temperatures, followed by at least 30 months of aging in Garbelotto foudres and French 500-liter demi-muids, all without fining, filtration, or added sulfur.
The nose is vibrant, exuding intense kirsch aromas and well-defined red fruit, with delicate hints of balsam, flowers, and a touch of cacao and minerals. On the palate, the wine is straightforward and vertical, with a crystalline purity. The medium weight brings a warm, juicy freshness, supported by a silky tannic structure. The finish is exceptionally long, voluptuous, and incredibly clean and fresh, showcasing a balance that’s both elegant and energetic.
