Made from old, mostly ungrafted Sauvignon Blanc vines, Quartz 2022 is a strikingly individual expression of this grape. Vinified directly in barrels and aged for 12 months, it reflects the natural and unconventional philosophy of Claude Courtois and his son Julien, who farm their 13-hectare estate near Cheverny without chemical intervention.

This dry, taut wine opens with a mineral austerity that softens with time, revealing exotic fruit notes of pineapple, mango, and quince. A subtle oxidative touch adds tension, while the palate balances power and roundness with a clean, focused attack. The finish lingers with fruit and a saline, stony edge—a pure and uncompromising Sauvignon Blanc with true personality.
