Barranco Oscuro 1368 Cerro Las Monjas is a red wine from Granada, Spain, crafted by Bodega Barranco Oscuro from vineyards located at altitudes of 1280 to 1368 meters in La Contraviesa. It blends Garnacha, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc in equal parts, with organic farming practices, though not officially certified.

The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks, without temperature control, followed by a 7 to 10-day maceration. It is then aged for three years in used oak barrels and refined for four months in tanks before bottling. No additives are used, and only light filtration is applied.

In the glass, it shows a deep cherry red color with garnet tones, revealing its age. Aromas of leather, toast, and violet rise from the glass. On the palate, it is warm and silky, with firm tannins providing balance. Flavors of licorice and dark forest fruits add complexity, with a long, dark finish dominated by Garnacha and Syrah, which interact beautifully with the wood.
