Les Chants Jumeaux
Located in Montrelais, Loire, Les Chants Jumeaux is run by Chloélie Cholot-Louis and Matthieu L'Hotelier. In 2022, they acquired a 17th-century farm with 7 hectares of meadow, starting with replanting 0.7 hectares of Pineau d'Aunis. The old cowshed has been converted into a cellar.
They farm the last 2.5 hectares of vines in Montrelais, practicing low-intervention viticulture since 2012. Since then they have Melon de Bourgogne, Chenin Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Gamay, but also Cabernet Franc, Grolleau, and some hybrids. A part of their wines are négociant, but they are always transparent and include the coordinates of where the grapes came from on the back label.
Their wines are fresh with a salty, mineral touch at the end, making them ideal for pairing with seafood.
