Domaine de l'Ausseil

Located in Latour de France, a small village in the heart of Roussillon, Domaine L'Ausseil is run by Jacques de Chancel. Jacques was enchanted by this region, where he fell in love with some old vineyards of Grenache Noir, Carignan, and Syrah. Alongside his passion for wine, Jacques also is a big fan of Edith Piaf. It was this dual passion that inspired the name and founding of Domaine de l'Ausseil. The name "Ausseil" originates from Occitan, meaning "bird". As a tribute to Edith he named his entry level wines "P'tit Piaf."

Jacques partner Nathalie produces essential oils from all the herbs they grow next to their vineyards.
