Syrnacha 2020
Barranco Oscuro Syrnacha is a mountain rosé made from Syrah and Grenache grapes, grown at an altitude of 1350 meters in the Sierra Nevada near Granada. Produced using natural methods without fining, filtration, or added sulphur dioxide, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a short one-day skin maceration, followed by 10 months of aging in used French oak barrels. Known for its focus on sustainable and organic farming, Barranco Oscuro has been a pioneer in natural winemaking since the 1970s.
On the nose, Syrnacha reveals notes of wild strawberries and a slight bitterness on the finish. The palate is agile and juicy, with refreshing acidity, and flavors that evoke cherry yogurt and mineral persistence. This wine perfectly expresses its high mountain terroir, combining freshness, minerality, and complexity—a must for lovers of natural rosé wines.
