Croix Pennet AOP Beaujolais Lantignié Rouge 2023
AOP Beaujolais Lantignié Rouge
When Sylvie and Thierry look from their house toward the mountain in the direction of Regnie-Durette, they see a parcel of almost half a hectare that belongs to them. Interestingly, half of it is in Regnie and the other half in Lantignié. Both villages call it Croix Pennet, but only Lantignié spells it with two n's.
The parcel is south-facing and filled with large granite rocks. The terroir is unique, and each year this parcellaire wine has a distinct Croix Pen(n)et taste that is hard to describe.
They employ longer macerations and age 70% of the wine in Burgundy barrels.
